Manager

Rachel Sharkie

I initially studied primary education and discovered the Montessori approach in my first early years role. This experience inspired me to go on and complete Montessori training for children aged 0–12. I have over 12 years experience working in Montessori nurseries and primary schools, including 5 years as a deputy manager. I particularly enjoy working with the Montessori mathematics materials and am passionate about a positive approach to behaviour management that allows freedom within clear limits, respects the child and fosters intrinsic motivation.

Montessori Teacher

Lisa Marwick

I gained my PGCE in Primary Education qualification but then moved to the Early Years after discovering I loved working with this age group. I also have a degree in Spanish and enjoy teaching this to children through songs and games. I  have now been working in Early Years for many years with the majority of my experience being spent in Montessori settings, a method which I believe gives children a fantastic foundation, allowing them to be independent and fulfill their potential by following their inner interest. I look forward to helping the children thrive and achieve on their individual journeys. â€‹

Early Years Practitioner

Iona Henderson

I have spent the last seven years working with children and young people across a mix of educational and third sector settings. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Education Studies with a primary teaching qualification in 2023. I spent my probation year teaching Primary 1, which truly confirmed my passion for working in the early years. I also had the wonderful opportunity to support prep classes in Melbourne, Australia, further deepening my interest in early childhood development. I was first introduced to the Montessori approach during my university studies and was inspired to incorporate elements of her philosophy into my play-based Primary 1 classroom. I’m now excited to fully immerse myself in the Montessori environment, and I look forward to continuing to grow as a practitioner while supporting each child's learning, development and wellbeing.

Deputy Manager

Alexandra Tucker

With 11 years of experience in Early Years settings, I have developed a deep commitment to Montessori philosophy and respectful, child-led learning. I studied Montessori & Pedagogy through the Montessori Centre London, where I strengthened my understanding of observation, independence, and the prepared environment. My teaching focuses on following each child’s unique developmental path and creating calm, beautiful spaces that support confidence, curiosity, and joyful exploration.

Montessori Teacher

Haizea San Sebastian

I completed the Bachelor in Education majoring in Pre-Primary at the University of the Basque Country. I have many years of experience working in Early Years. I discovered the Montessori method during the early stages of my career. I found it very interesting and this pushed me to sign up for the Early Years Montessori training. I love how the Montessori method supports the children's needs and interests, and also sparks new ones. I really enjoy supporting the children and helping them grow.
